    Distribution of Portfolios Among Interim Government Advisors Announced

    The allocation of portfolios among the advisors of the interim government has been finalized by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. This information was communicated today, Friday, through a notification from the Cabinet Division, stating that the order is effective immediately.

    Dr. Yunus will oversee 27 ministries and departments, which are:

    • Ministry of Education
    • Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges
    • Ministry of Food
    • Ministry of Housing and Public Works
    • Ministry of Land
    • Ministry of Textiles and Jute
    • Ministry of Agriculture
    • Ministry of Science and Technology
    • Ministry of Railways
    • Ministry of Public Administration
    • Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources
    • Ministry of Shipping
    • Ministry of Water Resources
    • Ministry of Women and Children Affairs
    • Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief
    • Ministry of Information and Broadcasting
    • Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment
    • Ministry of Commerce
    • Ministry of Labour and Employment

    • Touhid Hossain: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
    • Syeda Rizwana Hasan: Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change
    • Sharmin Murshed: Ministry of Social Welfare
    • M. Sakhawat Hossain: Ministry of Home Affairs

    The interim government was formed last night under the leadership of Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Fourteen out of seventeen members of the interim government took their oaths at Bangabhaban last night. Three members—former Ambassador Supradip Chakma, physician Bidhann Ranjan Ray, and retired Navy officer Faruk-e-Azam—were not present for the oath-taking ceremony as they are currently outside Dhaka.
