We will not accept any division based on party or religion: Jamaat Ameer.

The nation’s wealth will not be looted. We do not want to see any sworn politician as a judge of the court. We do not want to see any criminal sitting on the bench of the court. A government official is a servant of the state, not of any party, group, or individual. In the future, we do not want to see any official or employee being forced to serve a particular group instead of the state and the people. This is the kind of country we all aspire to. We ourselves must build that nation, Insha’Allah. Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh is committed to this.

He further stated that for 15 and a half years, Jamaat-e-Islami has faced the most brutal oppression in history in Bangladesh. Eleven top leaders have been executed. Injustice has been done through judicial killings. The most recent victim was Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi. Those who have been killed, we want to see their killers brought to justice in this world. The planners, masterminds, and implementers of the killings, those who gave unfair verdicts in court, false witnesses, and those who staged dramatic investigations — none of them should escape justice for their crimes. They wanted to destroy the entire nation. Just two months after coming to power, they brutally killed 57 brave and patriotic officers of the army. The BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) was destroyed. We demand the release of all innocent people who are imprisoned. We have stated that we will not seek revenge or take the law into our own hands. Our colleagues have shown extreme patience. On May 5, 2013, how were the scholars treated at Shapla Chattar? Under the cover of darkness, they fired indiscriminately and killed many, Allah knows how many. Their bodies were never found. Just four days before the fall of the evil government in 2024, a few ministers warned us not to act recklessly and reminded us not to forget May 5, 2013, at Shapla Chattar. After midnight, they cleared everything out.

Addressing the families of the martyrs, he said that those who have been martyred did not fight for jobs or anyone’s assistance. They are our pride, our symbols of dignity and honor. They fought selflessly to honor the nation. Now it is the nation’s duty to honor their families. This must be done; there is no alternative. We demand from the government that proper recognition be given to these families. At least one person from each martyr’s family should be provided with an honorable job by the government. Those who were injured or disabled in the fight should also be given respectable jobs so that they do not live their lives dependent on anyone’s charity.

The meeting, presided over by the Ameer of Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Muhammad Jamal Uddin, had special guests, including Jamaat-e-Islami Executive Council Member, Principal Muhammad Izzatullah.

Other speakers included Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Member of the Dhaka North Region Team Abul Hashem Khan, Maulana Delwar Hossain, Ameer of Gazipur District Jamaat Dr. Jahangir Alam, Naib-e-Ameer of Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat Muhammad Khairul Hasan, Metropolitan Jamaat Secretary Abu Sayeed Muhammad Farooq, and former central president of Shibir Salahuddin Ayubi.
