Md. Moinul Islam has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP). The Ministry of Home Affairs announced this appointment in a notification issued on Tuesday night.
Prior to this, Supernumerary Additional Inspector General of Police Moinul Islam was serving as the Commandant of the Traffic and Driving School in Dhaka.
Earlier in the night, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification canceling the contractual appointment of the current IGP, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.
