I am Abu Saeed…

Abu Sayed sacrificed his life protesting against the unjust quota system in Bangladesh. Students across the country took to the streets demanding reforms to a system that allocated 30% of government jobs to descendants of freedom fighters, leaving only 46% for merit-based appointments in a nation with 30 million unemployed people. According to unofficial counts, police and armed thugs of the ruling party brutally killed 1,700 students. Mass graves of the slain students are still being discovered in various parts of the country. Amid the protests, 93 people died today in clashes between the public, police, and armed hooligans of the ruling Awami League party.
