Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain announced that the Appellate Division might issue a gazette notification today regarding the High Court’s verdict that scrapped the reinstatement of the quota system.
He told BBC Bangla, “The notification for the quota has been prepared. We will release it if the Prime Minister approves. However, it is more likely to be issued tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. If she allows it, we will proceed with the issuance.”
Earlier on Sunday, the Appellate Division ordered that 93 percent of government job recruitment be based on merit.
