In a video message posted on Chhatra Shibir’s Facebook page on Monday, August 5, at 8 PM, Central President Manjurul Islam called upon the people of the nation, as well as all levels of Chhatra Shibir members and leaders, to thwart any attempts by the Awami League to incite communal violence, even if it means sacrificing their lives.
During his address, he stated, “Those who have been attacking students are now attacking Hindus and followers of other religions to divert this victory and the current situation. We are Muslims; we respect all religions. Stand by Hindus and followers of other religions.”
The Central President further appealed, “I call upon all members and leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir to step forward to ensure the safety of minorities at this critical moment.”
