Thousands of people have flooded the streets of Dhaka, staging marches and protests in various parts of the city. Early reports indicate significant demonstrations in areas such as Jatrabari, the Central Shaheed Minar, Badda, Uttara, and Mirpur. By 1:30 PM, the number of protesters on the streets began to swell.

Earlier in the day, it was announced that General Waker-uz-Zaman, the Chief of the Bangladesh Army, would address the nation at 2 PM. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed this to the media and urged the public to exercise patience and avoid violence until then.

Around 1:30 PM, broadband internet services were restored after being suspended in the morning, and instructions were given to resume mobile internet services as well, with the reconnection occurring shortly before 2 PM.

At approximately 1:45 PM, reporters from Prothom Alo on the ground at Shahbagh observed that thousands of people had assembled there. Demonstrators from various locations continued to converge on the area, chanting slogans and expressing their grievances.

In Mirpur, thousands of protesters have taken to the streets. Crowds from Pallabi, 11 and 11 No. sectors have gathered in the 10 No. sector before heading towards Agargaon.

In Uttara, a group of demonstrators is moving towards Banani. According to Prothom Alo reporters, the group includes students, parents, and local residents. They are advancing in smaller groups and have crossed the third terminal of the airport by 1:30 PM.
