In observance of National Student Solidarity Week, the Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir organized a discussion and friendly banquet with leaders from allied student organizations. The historic meeting aimed to address the nation’s ongoing crises, uphold the spirit of the July Revolution, and strengthen national unity. Representatives from approximately 39 student organizations participated in the event.

The meeting took place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the central office of Chhatra Shibir, presided over by its central president, Manjurul Islam, and moderated by Nurul Islam, the office secretary. Beginning at 6:30 PM, the event concluded at 10:00 PM.

During the session, student leaders pledged a strong commitment to ensuring justice for the victims of the July Massacre and combating conspiracies that threaten national unity. They emphasized that a united student body can thwart all anti-national plots and establish a fair, just, and equitable society, ultimately building a peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh.

They further highlighted the importance of students playing a united role in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and ensuring a secure future. The collective unity of student organizations, they noted, is a crucial step toward fostering national solidarity.

In a briefing to journalists after the event, Chhatra Shibir President Manjurul Islam stated, “Ensuring swift justice for the victims of the July Massacre is not just a responsibility to the deceased but a pledge of justice to the nation. Today’s discussion included effective strategies to accelerate public awareness and the judicial process.”

He added, “The ongoing divisive efforts following the mass uprising must be met with a unified resistance from the student community. This gathering has sent a clear message of solidarity, which is essential to counter anti-national forces and promote a fair, justice-driven political culture.”
