Bangladesh Occupied by Terrorists
The literal meaning of terrorism is the use of weapons for political gain. In that sense, the largest terrorist organization in Bangladesh is the state itself. Currently, the country is under the control of vote-robber Hasina. It is essential to understand that being in power serves pure political interests. Hasina is wielding the country’s armed forces, police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and Chhatra League gangsters to fulfil her objectives. Thus, Hasina has effectively transformed Bangladesh into a terrorist state.
The helmet-wearing armed goons of the Chhatra League, who have long been terrorizing the population, have historically received protection from the police. However, the scenario has recently changed. The cadres of the Chhatra League have been forced to abandon their halls and dormitories, fearing for their lives due to the ongoing student movement. In their place, the police forces have stepped in to create terror. Police and RAB are now seen together terrorizing unarmed students in various residential areas of Dhaka, under the protection of the army. It is noteworthy that the police had lost the courage to confront the students before the army was deployed on the streets. According to foreign journalists, the army is patrolling the streets in cars bearing the UN monogram to quell the protests, an action that has drawn protests from United Nations officials.
The government has issued shoot-on-sight orders across the country, which is another horrific form of state terrorism. Common people are kept in constant fear by the threat of bullets, and roads are kept deserted through terror. Additionally, police and RAB are conducting door-to-door raids in deserted streets, mosques, and are arresting students indiscriminately. Many are being killed in cold blood, with videos of these atrocities available on YouTube.
Hasina’s Deception
Like any rogue, Sheikh Hasina’s primary weapon is deceit. She repeatedly claims to have no greed for power, but this is a blatant lie. To maintain her grip on power, Hasina abolished the caretaker government system by appointing her subordinate Justice Abul Khair. Yet, Hasina has called hartals numerous times in support of the caretaker government and even expressed no objection to accepting the system indefinitely. Clearly, Hasina’s stance on the caretaker government was only a means to secure her own power. She orchestrated voter-less elections and vote-robbery in 2014, 2018, and 2024 to seize power. If she were not power-hungry, why would she resort to such electoral theft? Even after sending democracy to its grave, she audaciously claims to believe in democracy.
Now, the lies continue, claiming that the country is returning to normalcy. The question arises, where is this normalcy? Is a nationwide curfew normal? Is the army guarding the streets normal? Are police and RAB raiding houses and arresting and killing students normal? If the situation is indeed normal, why is the country disconnected from the world? Why have the Internet, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, and phone communications been shut down? A country at war is not so disconnected.
Bangladesh: Another Occupied Palestine
Bangladesh is now akin to an occupied Palestine, just like Palestine under Israeli occupation. In Bangladesh, the oppressor is Hasina, akin to Netanyahu. However, despite the massive killings and destruction in Israel, there is no day-night curfew. Internet, YouTube, and phone communications remain accessible. In contrast, Bangladesh suffers under a day-and-night curfew, isolated from the world. The military of Israel kills people without accountability, and similarly, Sheikh Hasina’s military, BGB, RAB, and police continue their killing spree in Bangladesh, without accountability. Like Israel, Hasina’s politics is driven by revenge.
Hamas killed 1,139 Israelis in the October 7, 2023 attack, and in retaliation, Israel killed over 39,000 Palestinians, with the killings continuing unabated. Sheikh Hasina has publicly stated her entry into politics was to avenge her parents and family’s murders. She seeks revenge from the people of Bangladesh because they celebrate her father’s death rather than mourning. In this vendetta, Hasina has disappeared, killed, and imprisoned thousands of people. Hundreds of Muslims were massacred in the Shapla Chattar incident. Many have been killed for protesting the arrest of Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayadi. Several Jamaat leaders have been hanged. Despite such large-scale killings, Hasina’s thirst for revenge remains unquenched. She exhibits psychotic sadism, deriving joy from others’ suffering.
The Future of Bangladesh Hangs in the Balance
If Sheikh Hasina manages to quell this movement and retain power, Bangladesh as we know it will cease to exist. She will completely transform the politics, administration, police, army, media, and educational culture of the country. To prevent another student movement, Bangladesh will turn into another occupied Palestine, Kashmir, or North Korea. The nation will become a complete prison, with an increased presence and surveillance by India. Freedom, human rights, and freedom of speech and writing will be buried. Therefore, every moment must be spent praying for the success of this holy jihad. Believers must also ensure that no mistakes are made to win this sacred struggle.
