Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned and protested against the spread of false propaganda by forging the party’s pads and signatures.

On Monday, October 28, the party’s central publicity and media department secretary, Matiur Rahman Akand, issued a statement expressing this condemnation.

In the statement, he said, ‘Our attention has been drawn to information circulating on various social media platforms under the heading “Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Central Non-Muslim Branch Committee,” listing several positions. Our clear stance on this matter is that the pad used in the circulated information is not Jamaat-e-Islami’s pad, and the signatures of the Ameer and Secretary-General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami included in the information are fake and false. There is no resemblance between the forged pad and the actual signatures of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer and Secretary-General. Furthermore, the committee mentioned with various designations is also incorrect. This false and misleading information has been disseminated by a conspiratorial group with the malicious intent of tarnishing Jamaat-e-Islami’s image and causing confusion among the public.’

He further added, ‘All activities of Jamaat-e-Islami are transparent. The people of the country have a clear understanding of Jamaat-e-Islami. Therefore, misleading the public by spreading fake and false information will not succeed. I urge the concerned parties to refrain from spreading such false and fake information.
