Abdullahil Kafi, a former Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) of Dhaka District, has been arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) in connection with the murder and burning of students and civilians in Ashulia on August 5.

Today, Monday, September 2, law enforcement agencies received information about his attempt to flee. After a day-long effort, he was apprehended at 10 p.m. from the airport.

According to DB sources, they received a tip-off about Abdullahil Kafi’s attempt to escape. Following various dramatic developments throughout the day, a team was able to arrest him at Shahjalal Airport.

Law enforcement officials stated that Kafi is accused of serious charges, including involvement in the murder and burning of students and civilians in Ashulia, Dhaka, on August 5.
