The Bangladesh Army has announced significant changes in its senior positions. Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been retired from service. Lieutenant General Md. Saiful Alam has been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while Lieutenant General Md. Mujeebur Rahman will take over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army Training and Doctrine Command. Lieutenant General Ahmed Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has been appointed as the Quarter Master General of the Army, Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim as the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque as Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), and Major General A S M Ridwanur Rahman as Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC).

The changes were announced today, Tuesday, in a press release from the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate.
