In the ongoing unrest in Jatrabari, Dhaka, a clash between protesters and law enforcement agencies has resulted in the shooting death of a 25-year-old man named Russell. The incident occurred on Sunday, following a series of violent confrontations that began around 10 AM.

The situation escalated around 11:40 AM when Russell was shot and subsequently succumbed to his injuries. Despite efforts by bystanders, including a civilian named Suman who transported Russell to Dhaka Medical College, he was pronounced dead by doctors at 11:40 AM. Suman reported that Russell had been shot in the head near the Kajla Bridge.

Since 9 AM, the area around Jatrabari Police Station has been heavily patrolled by the army, along with personnel from RAB, police, and the APBN. The security forces were engaged in a standoff with protesters who began their demonstrations in the areas of Shani Akhara, Kajla, and Rayebag.

By 1 PM, protesters had organized a march at the intersection near Jatrabari Police Station, leading to further clashes with law enforcement. The situation remains tense, with ongoing exchanges of rubber bullets and tear gas between the two sides.
