Thirteen police officers from Enayetpur Police Station in Sirajganj district have been killed in a mob attack. Additionally, a police officer from Elliotganj Highway Police Station in Comilla has also been confirmed dead in a separate attack.

The violence occurred amid widespread clashes and casualties across the country, including Dhaka, following a nationwide student protest demanding the resignation of the government.

In an official statement released by the police headquarters this afternoon, it was confirmed that these officers were killed in the attack.

Vijay Basak, Additional Deputy Inspector General (Operations and Crime) of the Rajshahi Range, reported that a military team arrived at the scene around 7 PM, accompanied by other law enforcement personnel. They discovered 11 bodies at the police station—eight near a mosque and three in a pond. Several police officers remain unaccounted for.
