Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mr. Golam Parwar, along with other top leaders, has been arrested and placed on a 5-day remand. This has prompted a strong condemnation from Bangladesh Jamaat’s Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, who demands the immediate and unconditional release of all politicians and student leaders.
In his statement, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman condemned the government’s indiscriminate killing of hundreds of students and its policy of arresting and torturing national leaders. He urged the public to join the ongoing movement to demand the resignation of Sheikh Hasina.
